IRMO scientist Marina Funduk, PhD, co-authored a book chapter with Mira Mileusnić Škrtić entitled ‘Students’ Perspectives on Media and Communication in Creative Industries’, published in the book Creativity 360 Degrees: Exploring the Dynamics of the Creative Industries in Southeast Europe. The book was published by Emerald Publishing Ltd and is indexed in the Scopus database. The chapter explores students’ attitudes about media and communications in the creative industries.
By revealing insights into students’ attitudes, perceptions, and aspirations regarding their careers in the creative industries, with a special emphasis on sustainability, the conducted research achieves a double goal. First, it raises awareness of the potential challenges graduates may face in their future professional endeavours. Second, it provides employers with a valuable understanding of the expectations of the generation entering the labour market in the creative industries. Fundamentally, this chapter enhances understanding of the alignment of student perspectives with creative industry dynamics. It emphasizes the key role of media, communications, new technologies, and the increasing importance of sustainability in shaping the future of these dynamic areas.
