As part of the annual regular meeting of the Croatian Evaluation Society (HEVAL), held at the Tribina Grada Zagreba venue on March 11, 2025, Dr. Ivana Keser was appointed as a member of the Ethics Committee of the Croatian Evaluation Society. Additionally, a panel discussion on evaluation education in Croatia was held as part of the meeting. The discussion focused on the experiences gained and the necessary knowledge in the field of evaluation, particularly the evaluation of strategic planning documents as a basis for the formulation and subsequent evaluation of public policies. The panelists shared their experiences and discussed the need to further develop education in the field of evaluation, the need for training in public administration within the context of the national strategic planning and management system, the required capacities for the evaluation of EU programs and projects, as well as the development of knowledge in applying qualitative and quantitative research methods during the implementation of evaluations.
