Iva Tolić Mandić and Maja Janković, associates at the Department of Resource Economics, Environmental Protection and Regional Development of IRMO, participated as presenters at the 17th International Scientific and Expert Conference titled ” Crisis Management Days,” held on May 22nd and 23rd, 2024, at Terme Tuhelj. The conference was organized by the Velika Gorica University in collaboration with the International Federation of Environmental Health and the CONRIS Network. The focus of this year’s conference was on themes such as climate change, sustainability, security and protection, international and European security, communication, technology, and crisis analyses.
Iva Tolić Mandić presented the paper titled “Our daily bread and climate change – Students’ awareness of climate change and their contribution to mitigation through dietary habits,” co-authored with Dragan Markanović and Sanja Tišma, PhD. Maja Janković presented the paper “Marine litter in the Adriatic Sea – are we communicating the problem enough?” co-authored with Marina Funduk, PhD and Anamarija Farkaš, PhD.
