Organized by the State School of Public Administration, a workshop titled “Fundamentals of
AI Literacy: Practical Application of AI Tools” was held on October 10, 2025. The workshop
was led by Ivana Keser, a researcher from the Institute for Development and International
Relations (IRMO), in collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Mihael Mišo Mudrić.
With this initiative, the Republic of Croatia has positioned itself among the first countries to
provide public sector officials with a systematic and practical framework for education on
artificial intelligence. The training is focused on acquainting participants with the
fundamental concepts and capabilities of AI tools in their daily work, thereby laying the
foundation for a digitally ready and innovative public administration.
During the workshop, participants learned how to use various AI tools to optimize their work
tasks through practical exercises. The indispensable role of human verification and
responsibility when using new technologies was particularly emphasized.
The Institute for Development and International Relations is proud to contribute to such
important national programs and continues to actively participate in the processes of digital
transformation, digital resilience, and education within the public sector.
