IRMO researcher Ivana Keser delivered an invited presentation at the 49th Assembly of the Croatian Library Association, titled “Library and Community: Innovation, Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Sustainability”, held in Opatija. This event brought together experts from the library and academic communities from Croatia and around the world. Over the course of four days, through lectures, workshops, and panel discussions on topics such as libraries and artificial intelligence, libraries in a multicultural context, and the role of libraries and library services in the green transition and raising ecological awareness in society, current challenges and possible directions for the development of libraries and librarianship were discussed.

As part of the thematic section “Green Transition – The Role and Contribution of Libraries and Library Services to Sustainable Societal Development,” Ivana Keser presented on “The Importance of a Bottom-Up Approach in Strengthening Urban Sustainability and Resilience: The Case of Croatian Cities.” In this presentation, she shared preliminary research findings from the BORE project – Essence and Colors of Sustainable Regional Development in the Republic of Croatia: https://bore.irmo.hr/.
