IRMO researcher Daniela Angelina Jelinčić participated in the International scientific and professional conference Continental Croatia: historical context, current events and perspectives in the future, where she presented her book “The Art and Science of Food Experiences”. In today’s increasingly fierce competition on the cultural and tourist market, attractions use the experience economy to target the individual experience of visitors providing them with psychological satisfaction. Gastronomy plays an important role in creating such an experience, either as a basic cultural and tourist offer, or as an additional, accompanying product. How to create an experience that will target the emotional experience of tourists and ensure tourist loyalty to the attraction or destination was the main question of the presentation, which was elaborated through the example of gastronomy. The presentation of the book took place on the second day of the conference organized in Đakovo, October 23-24, 2024, in cooperation with a number of scientific and educational institutions or companies, IRMO being one of the co-organizers.
