On February 21, 2025, the Institute for Culture of Vojvodina Croats hosted a scientific colloquium at the Gallery of the First Naïve Colony in Straw Technique in Tavankut. The event focused on the theme “Branding the Heritage of the Croatian Minority Community for the Development of a Cultural Route“. On this occasion, IRMO assistant Marko Raič delivered a presentation introducing stakeholders to the project’s objectives and led a workshop aimed at identifying the key elements of the Croatian minority heritage in Vojvodina. Through this interactive session, participants explored the economic, ecological, social, and cultural sustainability of minority heritage. The event brought together representatives from associations and tourism providers from Subotica, Tavankut, Monoštor, and Lemeš, alongside Dr. Vladimir Stojanović from the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad.

The following day, on February 22, participants visited Kukujevci, where the 150th anniversary of the birth of Živko Bertić — a writer, politician, and lawyer from Kukujevci — was commemorated as part of the “Year of the New Revival” of Vojvodina Croats. In his lecture, Raič highlighted the importance of Bertić’s legacy in preserving the cultural identity of the Croatian minority in Vojvodina.
