Researchers from the Department of Resource Economy, Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Institute for Development and International Relations, Anamarija Farkaš, Ph.D. and Marina Funduk Ph.D. participated in the presentation of the latest 2024 Living Planet Report, on October 10th 2024, in Zagreb. The event was organized by WWF Adria and was under the high patronage of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

The Living Planet Report is a study on trends in biodiversity and the health of the planet, which is published by the WWF worldwide at the same time. According to the latest edition from 2024, the observed populations of wild species have decreased by an average of 73% since 1970, which confirms that we have a seriously damaged relationship with nature.
