IRMO scientist at the conference in Uruguay

Marina Funduk, Ph. D., a scientist from the Department of Resource Economy, Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Institute for Development and International Relations, participated from 23rd to 26th September, 2024 in Punta del Este, Uruguay at the conference titled “10th Biennial GEF International Water Conference (IWC10)”. The conference was organized by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), in cooperation with UNDP, UNEP, IOC/UNESCO and the Government of Uruguay (República Oriental del Uruguay) under the theme ‘Transformative actions and impacts for the water and ocean SDGs: The GEF IW response to the global challenge’. The conference was the main event celebrating 30 years of GEF International Waters (IW) support to projects in shared river basins, lakes, groundwater, coastal and marine ecosystems and fisheries and areas beyond national jurisdiction.
