This year marks the sixth edition of the INVTUR conference, focusing on current issues in tourism during challenging times. Issues are addressed through 4 plenary sessions and 76 parallel sessions, total of 272 presentations. As part of the panel titled Tourism Development in Central and Eastern Europe, dr. Jelinčić is presenting about tourism and innovation in the transitional countries of the Adriatic-Ionian region. While innovations can greatly contribute to the sustainability of tourism, genuine innovative projects depend on various factors, and these factors are not only of a financial nature.
